Ochieng Asugo

One half of the Goldie and O Show, Ochieng Asugo (also known as “Brotha O” or “O”), is a native of the Washington, DC metro area.  Born to a Trinidadian mother and Kenyan father, his diverse background gives him a unique perspective of the world.

Ochieng, a certified personal trainer and avid runner, owns and operates Form Follows Function Fitness, LLC, a full-service personal training company.  He is also a personal trainer and group exercise instructor with Pulse Fitness in Bethesda, Maryland.  When Ochieng is not helping clients live healthy lifestyles, he is working on his other love, acting.  He is honored to have the opportunity to bring his creative expression to every performance, and his talents often provide comedic relief to the Goldie & O Show.

Form Follows Function is not only the name of his company; it’s his philosophy for living.  By functioning in the way we were meant (physically, mentally and spiritually), we will form into what we are supposed to be in life.  When he is not training or running, Ochieng enjoys discovering good music, listening to talk radio and watching Netflix. Ochieng holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies from Towson University.  He also has his National Academy of Sports Medicine certification.

Brian Turner

Brian Turner (also known as “Goldie”), one half of the Goldie & O Show, was born and raised in the Washington, DC. He owns one of the nation’s top Right at Home franchises, providing in-home care for older adults in Washington, DC, and is often recognized for his entrepreneurial success.  Brian enjoys mentoring aspiring business owners, helping them realize their dreams of entrepreneurship are possible with hard work and dedication.

Brian enjoys discovering and learning. He believes that knowledge is imperative to being what you want to be in life.  Our potential is endless; once we make the decision to act on our dreams and seek the resources needed to achieve them. If you are passionate about what you do, you will love what you do.  It should be purposeful.

Since childhood, Brian has had a passion for music and spends his spare time DJing various nightlife events.  Known as DjBTurnin, his keen ear has helped him quickly rise to being recognized as a top DJ in the DC area.  He is also responsible for all of the Goldie & O Show music mixes.  Brian holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in marketing from Bowie State University and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in finance from the University of Baltimore.  Brian lives in Prince George’s County, Md., with his wife and two young children.  He is an avid stock trader and enjoys traveling.
